Flanagan Physio Tramore Waterford | Anthony Flanagan Physical Therapy, Waterford

TESTIMONIALS

Sean Power

All-Ireland-winning Minor manager

“Anthony worked as our physical therapist in the lead up to our All-Ireland minor hurling victory in 2013 and again with the Waterford U21s who won the All-Ireland in 2016. I found his therapeutic knowledge and skills exceptional and his relationships with the management team and players was one of trust and he was a respected member of the team who was vital to our success. He was a great asset to the medical team and was efficient, reliable and always had the players' comfort and safety to the core of his philosophy. I would have no hesitation in recommending him and I look forward to working with him again.”

Dr. Peter Francis

Sports & Exercise Academic

"Since I moved away from Waterford over 10 years ago, I am often asked by friends and family to recommend a ‘good physio’. To be completely honest it is a question I struggled to answer until about 3 years ago. To my mind, an effective medical practitioner practices evidence-based medicine (EBM). EBM consists of clinical experience, understanding patient expectations and using the best available scientific evidence to make decisions. In my experience Anthony practices all three components of EBM, which is demonstrated by his successful outcome rate. I forward numerous patients to Anthony, many of whom I have previously treated or coached as an athlete. The greatest compliment I can give him is that I have attended him myself and send all of my own family to see him when required."

Dr. Peter Francis (BSc, PhD) is a Senior Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Therapy and Sports Medicine in Leeds, UK. He has worked at the performance laboratory of the Irish Institute of Sport on two occasions, prior to the Beijing and London Olympics.

Anthony provided me with an initial diagnosis and treatments and assisted me to maintain my recovery by providing me with a range of recommended exercises to increase my strength and mobility in the necessary areas to enhance my performance."

Patricia Jackman is a double Intermediate All-Ireland winner with Waterford, and a multiple All-Ireland Camogie Poc Fada champion.

From the start Anthony was brilliant and had me on the road to recovery within a few weeks with a great rehab program. My chosen sport is cycling and I race competitively at A2 level on the Irish amateur scene. Even after my injury healed I have continued on a regular basis visiting Anthony for preventitive deep tissue sports massage. I consider Anthony integral to my training and racing program and cannot recommend him highly enough.”
